Huge choice of locations
We fly from Swindon - with its origins as a small market town, used mainly for barter trade until the mid-1800s. The original Swindon is now known as Old Town with its quiet courtyards and alleyways alongside a mix of traditional shops and pubs. When the Great Western Railway arrived in 1840 a whole new town was created between the new railway works and Swindon Hill. Today this is Swindon's Town Centre. Flying from the lovely parkland of Lydiard House to the west of Swindon you can see the railway cottages and lines in the distance as we drift over the surrounding Wiltshire countryside perhaps over the rolling Marlborough Downs or towards one of the famous chalk White Horses.
Devizes - is a small market town in north Wiltshire, probably best known for the Kennet and Avon Canal's Caen Hill flight of 29 locks, which rise 237 feet in 2½ miles. From the air the sacle of the locks is breath taking and its great to shout a cheery hello to the fellow travelers on their barges below. If the post flight champagne toast is not your thing remember Devizes is also home to one of the best breweries in the country producing the famous 6X beer which you will find in the many local pubs.
Melksham - Melksham lies about thirteen miles south of Junction 17 of the M4, on the A350. This puts it just to the south of the Cotswolds and north of the Mendips. Near to Bath, Bristol, the villages of Castle Combe & Lacock, Melksham is an ideal launch site for an overview of the special Wiltshire countryside.
Salisbury- Superbly situated in southern England's rural heartland, few destinations can match the amazing diversity of Salisbury and Stonehenge - with a history dating back over 5,000 years there is no shortage of amazing aerial sites. We launch in view of the magnificent 13th century cathedral with Britain’s tallest spire. Situated in the largest medieval close in Britain, it is surrounded by beautiful historic buildings and eight acres of lawns. See the unusual roof spaces on the towers and be amazed by the breathtaking views as you fly towards perhaps Stonehenge or Stourhead.
Chippenham - Lies on the southern most edge of the Cotswolds, just to the north west of Salisbury Plain & the Marlborough Downs. Only a few miles from Bath and north west of the Mendips we fly from one of the towns lovely parks. Often flying towards Castle Combe & Lacock who vie for the title of the prettiest village in England each year we cover beautiful rural landscapes .
Hungerford - Yes we know it's in Royal Berkshire, but it is so near the Wiltshire border many of our guests choose to fly from here especially as its from the grounds of an old Tudor mansion house, with views over Savernake forest the oldest forest in the country and up to the Lambourne Downs
You’ll experience picturesque, historical or simply awe-inspiring flights, and you'll see the beautiful English countryside slide by gracefully below you.
