Shropshire

Shropshire is a quiet yet beautiful county packed with interesting historical sites and dramatic countryside. Our balloon rides depart from the market towns of Shrewsbury, Wroxeter, Ludlow, Oswestry, Welshpool, Craven Arms, Church Stretton, Whitchurch and the Shropshire Hills
The most famous destination of Shropshire is Ironbridge regarded as the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Ironbridge is located in the heart of Shropshire and is most likely to be seen when departing from Shrewsbury.

The county also boasts 32 castles with Ludlow, Stokesay, Whittington and Clun being perhaps the finest. In the South of the county, lying within the bend of the River Teme Ludlow and Ludlow castle is one of the most unspoiled parts of rural England.
So whether we pass over the Shropshire Hills, or traverse along the Shropshire Union Canal or spot one of the many castles from the air this is a county with charm and diversity in abundance.
