Taking to the air with Go Ballooning, is a truly magical experience. Our pilots are not only passionate about ballooning but the area in which they fly. They will be happy to give you a tour from the sky as you pass by well known landmarks and spectacular scenery.
We cannot determine our flight path as this is defined by the weather conditions on the day but read on and discover some of the highlights for this area.

Essex

Essex is a varied region full of historic interest as well as beautiful scenery; from rural landscapes to a rugged coastline. Our balloons fly from Braintree, Chipping Ongar, Colchester and Gosfield giving you a variety of destinations to view from the air.
Positioned in the North of Essex is the market town of Braintree, The 14th century woollen cloth trade brought prosperity to the area leaving a legacy of fine architecture and listed buildings.
In the West of the County is the small market town of Chipping Ongar. A pretty market town surrounded by beautiful rolling countryside and home to a wonderful example of a mote and bailey Norman castle.

Colchester to the North East of the county was once the capital of Roman Britain and Britain's oldest recorded town. Catch a glimpse from the sky of Colchester's Roman Temple, the Roman Circus.

Our final Essex launch site is from the village of Gosfield situated just North of Braintree. The Gosfield nature reserve has been designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and Gosfield Hall provides a historic point of interest from the air.
